Tina Penn - Voice Performance -
"Tina is amazing! My teenage daughter has learned and grown so much under her instruction. We love Tina’s spirit and her wonderful way with people. The quality of voice education that Tina delivers is superb and Tina’s own voice sounds like an angel. Tina Penn – Vocal Performance Art
Tina Penn is a talented musician and vocal performing artist who began training in violin at eight years of age, voice training at age nine and oboe at twelve. She pursued the study of all three until Eleventh grade when she decided to concentrate on voice. In high school Tina won Superior awards, the highest awards possible in the Florida state level competitions for Chorale, Ensemble and Voice Solo competitions.
Studying Vocal Performance in college she continued working to refine her natural talent. She is competent in all areas of vocal performance: Presentation, delivery, elocution, resonance and tonal quality, direction, choral work, and theory. She is especially helpful in training the “ear”, and understanding and working with registers for developing and improving the singer’s voice quality and range.
After college she became a stay-at-home mom, and taught her children in
a home-school environment. She consistently performed through the years at:
special events, nursing homes, churches and conventions. For the past four years Tina has been performing professionally in the Charlotte area.
As an instructor Tina is intuitive, compassionate, and patient. Her desire is to train every student to be the best “instrument” in their own style, while using the techniques and guidelines of competence to achieve notable performance goals.
